Phil Stinebuck, B.A. (b. 10-24-51 - d. 02-14-02)

Phil was a team member of the Region 6 RRCEP since 1991. Phil came to the University of Arkansas from Bartlesville, Oklahoma where he was Program Manager of the RehabCare Unit at the Jane Phillips Episcopal Memorial Medical Center. He also served as the Executive Director of Ability Resources, a Center for Independent Living (CIL) in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Phil was a member of the Arkansas Independent Living Council and past chair of the Council. In 1997, he received the Regional Advocacy Award from the National Council on Independent Living. Phil had 18 years experience in the field of Rehabilitation, earned his B.A. in Business Administration, served as the Regional Representative for the National Council for Independent Living (NCIL), and was well loved and respected throughout the national/international rehabilitation, independent living, and disability communities as a friend, advocate, professional consultant, mentor, teacher and as an inspirational person of hope.
